Here is my first test. I use Hamster Scalping EA, once on an MT4 terminal and once on an MT 5 terminal. I am curious to see the differences.

Hamster Scalping is a fully automated Expert Advisor with no use of martingale. Night scalping strategy. The RSI indicator and an ATR-based filter are used for entries. The advisor needs a hedging account type

The experts are posted in our forum.

MT4 version is located here: https://forexkings.net/threads/hamster-scalping.13/
MT5 version is located here: https://forexkings.net/threads/hamster-scalping.22/

I use the default settings for both EAs. Since our Forex broker has GMT +2 datafeed I have adjusted the trading time.

In both cases, the EA trades on a real money account with RoboForex. Both accounts have a balance of $ 1,000.

The EAs are installed on the same DigitalForex VPS in Amsterdam.

That is something that I have proven to happen with all brokers, MT4 has more latency than MT5. The MT4 is synchronous and the MT5 is asynchronous, that explained briefly means that NT4 is only possible to execute one operation at a time, and in MT5 several operations can be executed at the same time

Yes, it is very intresting how this aspect might affect the trading results. But there were no trades tonight.

Really for HFT robots, MT5 is much more efficient.
Another matter: I downloaded to try the MT5 Hamster Scalping, but has a problem with the license. Is it a free robot?
